About Strong Health Tips
We publish practical health tips that hold up to scrutiny: short enough to act on today, careful enough to trust tomorrow.
Why this site exists
Health content online tends to fall into two camps. One is dense, hedged and written for other professionals. The other is loud, simplified and usually trying to sell something. Strong Health Tips sits in the gap between them. We take guidance from major health bodies and peer-reviewed research and turn it into plain-English advice that a busy person can actually use.
The site covers the fundamentals that account for most of the difference in how people feel day to day: nutrition, fitness, sleep and recovery, daily habits and mental wellness. Over time we also publish independent looks at supplements and health products, because people ask about them and deserve a straight answer.
How we research and write
- Start with the strongest sources. We prioritise guidance from the World Health Organization, national health services (NHS, CDC, NIH), professional bodies, and systematic reviews or large trials. Single small studies and press releases do not set the direction of an article.
- Separate what is known from what is promising. When the evidence is early or mixed, we say so in the article rather than rounding it up to a certainty.
- Write for real constraints. Every tip is tested against a simple question: could someone with a full-time job, a family and no personal chef do this next week? If not, we simplify it or cut it.
- Review and update. Articles are checked for accuracy before publishing and revisited when new guidance comes out. The published and updated dates are shown on every guide.
What we will not do
- Promise cures, rapid weight loss or results that the evidence does not support.
- Let affiliate relationships decide what we recommend. Where a page contains affiliate links, it is disclosed on that page and in our disclaimer.
- Replace your doctor. Our content is general information. For anything specific to your body or history, a qualified professional who can examine you is the right call.
Who writes the content
Articles are produced by the Strong Health Tips editorial team, a small group of health writers and researchers who draft, fact-check and edit each other's work. We do not use named personas or stock photos of "doctors" to imply credentials we do not hold. Where a topic requires clinical expertise, we lean on published clinical guidance and cite it.
